Hi ,
How's your week going?
There's been a couple of instances this past week which have reminded me of the importance of community.
In Australia's North-Eastern States', communities have been experiencing never-before-seen floods. Given the magnitude and speed of the disaster, local communities have had to rescue and aid each other, alongside - and in some cases, instead of - help from government authorities. Many lives have been saved by community members stepping in to help rescue people in their own boats. Others have taken in strangers whose
houses were submerged, or provided aid to those in need.
The second reminder of the importance of community came with the approach from a company interested in acquiring one of my blogs. While I’m not looking to sell them, it is always an interesting discussion to have. This company was particularly keen on the community aspect of the blog and really valued that.
The difference between an audience and a community is which direction the chairs are pointing.
