Hi
,
How's your week going?
I just watched the Texas Rangers win the World
Series baseball championship...
WOW! What an amazing effort!
In a sport where failure is such a big part of the game - where you get out more often
than you get a hit - success is something to be celebrated.
In fact the Rangers lost 100-plus games - losing 2/3 of 162-games in a season - just two seasons ago. This is their first World Series title in Texas' 63-year franchise history.
I was most impressed by the efforts of the Rangers' second-base player and lead-off hitter, Marcus Semien who has played EVERY SINGLE GAME of the Rangers' 178 (regular season and finals) games this season. In doing so, he set a new record for the most plate appearances in a single season - coming up to bat 834 times.
This is a great lesson about consistency, dedication and developing the day-in-day-out habits it takes to be a world champion.
Bloggers are a bit like baseballers - we need to show up every day and give our
best for our audience. We just need to occasionally reward ourselves with our own championship trophies.
