I love it when a DPS reader emails in to tell us about a tip or technique that they've been trying. Today on the blog Lee Hancock did just that and tells us about Aperture Masking (a DIY technique that can result in some eye catching results.
 

17 Images of Poverty

This week DPS took part in a global project with 8000+ other blogs to talk about the issue of Poverty (part of a project called 'Blog Action Day').
 
Our post was simply to post 17 images that depicted situations of and people living in Poverty. See our small part in this project here

In this very short video Peter talks us through the basic task of straightening images using Adobe LightRoom.
 

Amod GPS Photo Data Logger Review

This review of the Amod GPS Photo Data Logger was actually a bit of a surprise to me when Peter first submitted it - I didn't even know that these existed.
 
It isn't a gadget that everyone will want or need but I'm amazed how many of my friends either have or want these. 
 
One of the things that I love about Photography most is the impact it not only has on me but on those around me. The taking and sharing of images is a wonderful thing.
 
In this story we hear how one photographer uses photography to reach to out and change the lives of under priveleged children in Nicaragua.
