Greetings from dPS HQ,
If you missed our mid-week news, here it is for you. And for a little more photography for the weekend, read on...
It can be boats, kayaks, or stand-up paddleboards but I have chosen Boats as this week’s theme. Capture them on lakes or out at sea, at sunrise or sunset or in the middle of the day. They can be close-ups of things on a boat, or the boats can be part of a large vista. They can be color or black and white. They can be taken
with your good camera or your smartphone (as mine are).
When you learn to do portraits with window light you can set up a studio anywhere there is a window. In this tutorial, I’ll give you all the important information, including what to do with different window sizes, where to position the person, and how to make their eyes sparkle.
Photographing business events is a lesson in extremes. You have to be prepared for the worst lighting, awkward people, and speeches that will cause even the most focused business professionals to nod off in their chair. Here are some tips that have allowed me to always be prepared.
Hope you're having a happy and safe weekend.
Darren and the dPS team.
