In the last couple of days we got a flood of questions from people concerned about whether they could do the course with their local Covid restrictions in place. We wanted to address this, and have kept the doors open to register for the weekend.
The vast majority of the assignments are designed to be done at home, many of them indoors. When Jim first created the course, he knew people could not just pick up and go to a national park or fly to Paris on an average Tuesday, so tried to keep everything close to home.
Here’s the breakdown:
- All but 2 of the first 12 foundational modules are designed to be done at home.
- The next 9 modules on composition can mostly be done at home, with a few just requiring a quick visit to the local park.
- The final 9 modules are all post-processing, so they are all obviously designed to be done at the computer.
That said, Jim will be creating some Covid-friendly alternatives for any of the assignments that cannot be done at home.
If anything, it’s a perfect time to slow down, enjoy a hobby that you’re passionate about, and take advantage of the time to practice. And the best part is that you’ll have a community of great folks to do it with - all from the safety of home.
